Intl. Workshop on Soil Characterization

In tribute to the excellent Singapore Workshop on the Characterization & Engineering Properties of Natural Soils held in Dec. 2002, a mini-workshop on the subject will be held in Quebec just prior to the 57th Canadian Geotechnical Conference on October 24, 2004. Invited speakers will discuss specific soil formations and geomaterials that have been extensively testing by lab and in-situ methods. Talks are planned by J. Locat, Peter Robertson, Serge Leroueil, David Hight, Paul Mayne, and Don DeGroot. The registration fee is $250 (Students = $125).
