| The Swedish Association of International Affairs (SAIA) is a non-profit non-governmental organization whos aim it is to inform and educate about international affairs and foreign policy. SAIA has got branches in eight major Swedish University cities and is mainly directed towards students.
The local branches arrange lectures on foreign affairs by politicians, academics, journalists and diplomates aswell as other activities such as study tours both in Sweden and overseas, international seminars and projects. The branches also organize Model United Nations in cooperation with the United Nations Association of Sweden. During the years, it has become mandatory for every Swedish foreign minister to visit the local branches and many diplomats and journalist have been members in a local Society of International Affairs. The eight branches have approximatly 2000 members, most of which are students.

Queer it up Europe!
The conference ”Queer It Up Europe!” will take place at Stockholm University on January 9-11th, 2009, within the framework provided by the project ”Students’ Perspective on European Politics and LGBTQ rights.”
