YELGIP's Current Projects

As YELGIP has goals, it needs projects to reach them. Equally important though is the fact that YELGIP's European network is strengthened by collectively working on the projects.

Research-Industry workshops
In order to enable young researchers to work with industry on tomorrow's challenges, YELGIP will regularly organises external workshops. In these workshops, each on a specific, innovative theme, representatives from industry and end-users are invited to help specify the relevant research questions.

To strengthen the European network, the exchange of people between ELGIP member institutes as well as third parties is facilitated. Amongst others, these exchanges have led to the following results:

  • 'Comparison CPT and T-bar’, 3-months visit dr. Mandy Korff (Deltares) @NGI, Oslo (Norway)
  • ' MPM cooperation’, short scientific missions between University of Cambridge and Deltares, leading to the FP7 Marie Curie Action ‘MPM-DREDGE’
